This is the general running price for one, I know from a friend who had a crash in an S2000 and it was ~$600 a headlight..

I've seen them up to $1000 for kits in Supercheap..they are 8) though..just too expensive at the current pricing..it'll come down ;)

When Hella introduced their Xenon driving lights onto the Australian market I says to myself...I'll have some of those, so in I trot to the local spares joint and ask the price. Well the bloke sort of smiled and says how much money am I prepared to spend and I tell him. Then he tells me that they are over a THOUSAND dollars each. End of conversation. I like my lights bright but the Super Oscars will do for now.

PS. I think there may be legal issues retrofitting xenons, but don't quote me. I just remember reading something about them. It may have been the temperature rating of the globes

Alot of the legal issues with them are that i thing they're required to have jet's to clean the lenses, at least on the new cars..apparently dirty lenses can refract the light and dazzle other drivers..

Legal wise, HID lights can only be fitted to vehicles in conjunction with a self levelling system (so you don't blind oncoming traffic), which requires all the fancy electronic sensors found in modern Mercs, BMWs, etc.

You might not find enough room in a mini engine bay for the control unit (which runs at about 32 volts).

Just stick with the original electrics & keep the revs up instead - that always makes the headlights burn bright
