I have a Megajolt set up for use with a tps ( no internal map sensor in the Megajolt unit), can I use a map sensor with this Megajolt or am I stuck with tps?

is it megajolt v3 or v4?

either way you can purchase a conversion kit.

MJLJ V3 MAP conversion kit $24.95

MJLJ V4 MAP conversion kit $22.95

V4. Thanks for the information. I'm not sure I would be able to do this. How hard are these kits to install?

Could I wire an external map sensor to the Megajolt like a tps?

im not sure with wiring in an external map sensor but i dont see why its not posible, depending on sensor.

im again not sure on installing as i purchased mine completed, best to sign up to the autosports labs forum they are very helpful.

EDIT > just found this>>

you can do that with the TPS ECU using an external MAP sensor and connect that up to the TPS pins. Since both TPS and MAP sensors give a 0-5V output it all works fine, just remember to change the configurator to match your new setup.

if you pay the postage, I'll solder those bits on for you - easy job... failing that, I'm about to put my megajolt on the shelf, I'll swap you if you buy me the MAP conversion kit to go with yours

Thanks for the offer. I'm still trying to decide between tps and map sensor. My Megajolt will be going on a twin cam Alfa with twin dellortos. All the other systems I've seen use tps. So I'll possibly stick with the tps unless someone has better advice here. I'm almost thinking I might be better with a twin spark motor from a Alfa 75.
