It has a Bespoke front mount alloy radiator, Weber Alpha electronic ignition system (no distributor). 1293cc, EN40B crank, steel conrods, forged pistons. Makes 140hp - didnt say where though

The air plenum is only mounted to the weber, and therefore it moves WITH the engine.

Gafmo, they`re not rose joints on the master cyls, just simple age old banjo bolts.

The cold air box is a must for fast cars & is quite simple & easy to make, does the job well & very well worth the effort if chasing power ,,,cool air = more oomph

The distributor less ignition is the only way to go these days, it is well past the year 2000 now, you may well ask the question "What are points & condensor?,,,are they something that was found in Noah`s ark or something???" :-)

dry decking is also an age old recipe,,,done on many many other makes of car too, again, just a simple & sensible approach to an age old cooling distribution/equalization problem on many types of inline high performance engine

you will find most of this stuff on nearly all the hard core mini racers in Europe & around the world,,,,All of us "Standard Joe Blows Down here in Orstraylia" are well behind the 8 ball compared to the likes of Sollis & his band of merry mini race men :-) check out some of the race mini stuff comming out of Japan & you`ll all have heart attacks as to the quallity of builds & quallity of equipment,,,Money makes the world go round as they say :-)

No offence intended here but--> anyone writing a book about minis 30 years ago may not have experienced such worn or stuffed-with components as we are finding these days.

You should put your heart & soul into everything you do.
