The 1100S automatic block has the same depth recess as a smallbore, it is NOT any deeper.
However..
The oil feed drilling from the oilpump to the relief valve and banjo fitting is closer to the rear of the block on all 1275s than on a smallbore, to miss the bigger diameter cylinder bore. This is why in the auto block an oil pump spacer is needed, and why the drilling breaks into the back of the spacer (see my pics).
All 1275 manual blocks have a shallower pump recess, and their oil pumps had a longer shaft.
