(Could you please let me know how much clearance there is between the bonnet and the fuel rail? I know it would be hard to measure. Perhaps stick something on the bonnet diagonal stiffeners that will compress and stay compressed when it touches the fuel rail. Like plasticine or some polystyrene packing? )

It is around 18mm-20mm to the bonnet from the fuel rail. [/quote]

thats very nice. i have the minisport 7 port head with twin 40mm webers but planning to change to injection later this year. i will probably run jenvey throttle bodies with motorbike injectors (these are a little shorter but havent looked at which ones to go for yet). Not sure on the injection control but possibly Haltech.

Ive got the same KAD brake cylinder too but havent fitted it yet as waiting for my clutch master cylinder to arrive first. we were hoping to mount it facing sideways if possible but the clutch master is in the way of going inboard and the side inner guard for going outwards. we thought this may give more room around the side of the engine where my breathers run but looking at your set up, its a bit bigger than i remembered so may have to leave facing the way it should be.

i like the dipstick arrangement, i extended mine up between the carbs but is a bit fiddly to get to and a bit of a pain to be honest, yours looks much neater.

one thing i did at the rear of the head was to make a blanking plate the same thickness as the extractors so the nuts would tighten up evenly but you seem to have a different arrangement with those nice looking nuts so maybe isnt a problem for you.

Are your plugs a pain in the proverbial to get at when you want to change them out? there is bugger all room under the carbs to get at mine but its the small scrifices that make a 7 port worth it.

definitely think a 7 port efi turbo would be the way to go, keeping it in a straight line may be a bit of an issue though...
