whats the max bore in a mini iv heard of 73.5mm pistons but just though someone might be interested in these as a big bore alternate

saw these on ebay they are Venolia 74mm forged turbo racing pistons and maybe could be fit in a big bore mini :)

Well, we used to be able to get 74mm pistons for Minis but the supply seems to have dried up.
73.5 is pretty much it now, unless you chance boring to 74.7 for Triumph pistons... :shock:

Those Toyota ones on eBay look to have dirty big valve cutout in them. Not much help in a Mini...

Try taking a 1275 piston down to a BIKE mechanic.....
I've heard tell of a Kawasaki engine with the same bore / pin height / pin diameter as a Mini . . . .

light, strong, good enough for about 20,000RPM .......

one of the keeping you mini alive mags had a thing on the KAD 16 valve head and they used some sort of motorbike piston... but i think they had custom rods made up for it.... :?
