I have to ask....

What did you do with the GTi??? 8)

nuthin' yet - I haven't picked it up. Not sure what I'll do with it, not sure how I can afford it either! if the car is any good I might get it registerable and flog it off, if not I'll wreck it and maybe make a Mini conversion and flog that off

are you going to be running the tailshaft and the exhaust through the cabin?

not through the cabin, I think running the exhaust internally is illegal - something about carbon monoxide.... though you might be on to something I hadn't thought of, running a flat floor underneath with a box that's open front and rear... ringmini bloke has just cut and widened the floor, that plan is on the top of my list. I need a MK2 roundnose shell - anyone got one with a rusty floor they want to give away to a good cause?

Images of a Moke with GTi power are floating in my head. :D

You could always flog the GTi on here again. Mabe swap it for a good roundnose shell! 8)

You are keen! Honda and GTi projects? Both will be heaps of work! Would take me a couple of years each with my commitments. But I want to have a go myself anyway!

I was thinking of:

- park GTi behind the shed (where my wife won't see it for a while!)
- get my Moke on the road with the 1275 Auto
- get a rusty Moke shell or front half to cut about for the GTi conversion.
- once I have the conversion worked out, I could then transfer bits from the rusty shell to the good shell. Then make rusty shell into a trailer, garden furniture or both! 8)

But no hurry with the GTi conversion. Too many projects/ideas for projects, too little time.

AWD project looks good. I will be interested to see it progress.

long story about the swift, but have a look in the "other for sale" forum... the swift is going back to it's rightful ( :?) owner, and probably the source of the bullet hole in the little sucker... I didn't know how I was going to make time for that conversion, but I don't have to worry now - it's all Honda
