i wouldnt worry as long as you dont do really dumb things in it when people are around or go to the street races in it.... Go in a innocent looking vehicle, or at least one that doesnt attract too much attention :D

Chong,
Mini Deluxe never had a heater as standard. If you got the optional fresh air heater it had no fan, so still no real demisting.
These demisting rules we're talking about are for later cars. Before 1970 nobody put heaters in basic cars, except the MiniMatic which needed it to keep cool. (OK... Coopers I define here as upmarket Minis, not basic..)
My old man bought a Valiant new in `69, guess what- no heater standard..

would a mini k have come out standard with a heater? good ol' mini and moke world didnt put one in mine (along with a washer bottle), and guess what, i was done for the washer bottle but I have never been hassled about lack of heater. Is that because they cant? i.e. there wasnt one standard?>

NEVER BUY FROM THE DODGY MOTHER F*!KERS IF YOUR LAST BREATH WAS DEPENDENT UPON IT!~

I suppose my Toyota washer bottle and leccy pump would need to be engineered then- it's under the LF guard too..
Oh, sweet Lucy- will this crap never stop?
I remember when we could do what we liked to our cars... :P

the spline on the end of the column that you slide the boss onto

i've got a steeringwheel and boss, but the steering wheel part has cracked and its an alloy or aluminum or something and i can't weld it back up.
and, the nut pattern on the boss is unusual, it has 5 nuts in a hexagon pattern

so i was interested to know if i can fit a standard boss kit from something else or if i have to purchase a special mini one.

Ahem. *clears throat, hops on soapbox*

In SA, Isotta steering wheels are legal when bought with boss kit (i'm not sure if they are legal when separate :? ) they give you a checklist that has to be correct, and a little sticker to put on the aframe of your door to point out to any narky cop who starts picking*.

Said narky cops* also like to defect an early model of commodore that came standard without passenger side mirror, for, you guessed it, not having a passenger side mirror.

Stupid cops*~ may also ask how many cylinders your RX7 has.

[disclaimer]
* & *~
Not all cops are narky, not all cops are stupid. Some cops are nice, and will talk with you at a service station about your car possibly being too low, your lights being illegal, and not pull you over as soon as you leave.
