There are a few other SU carbies around that I have been looking at for my turbo project. It turns out that the XU1 used 3 1.75inch carbies and an old datsun engine used a pair of them on some higher spec'd models.

Would there be any problems with using ones of these SU's on a turbo engine?

They just seem to be more available and cheaper than the metro turbo carbs that I cant find at the moment.

A mini spares place offered to buy the SUs off my little brothers 260Z.

The guy said that they could be used for minis, so guess they will fit on I don't know anything about how suitable they would be with a turbo...

my 2 cents worth

Bye, Arrin

Not worth paying $99 for them, IMO. Still have to buy the manifold, etc.

How much do you think I should be paying for a metro turbo carb and manifold?
I havent found any prices for them anywhere apart from the UK website.

I paid around $170 for carb and $70 for Manifold and it is off a Metro. If thats what I remember it was 3 years ago.

I saw those, $160AUD before shipping isnt too bad I suppose but I'd rather get one local and cheaper than that if possible.

Ill keep looking around, Hopefully if my mate has the weekend off work the exhaust manifold will get done and the turbo will be fitted including the oil and water lines if any.
