If getting this one, http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=34684
I doubt it will flow any better than a Redline 3005 , and it's heaps dearer. Although that does include the linkage.

Ballpark figure for a Redline 12-3005 NEW is around $170 I think.
see http://www.redlineauto.com.au/

Thanks for that, a friend was going to the UK and was going to bring it back which would have saved $100- but they are out of stock anyway. On top of that Minisport weren't able to give me a definitive answer as to wether they fit woithout cutting the firewall so I will get a redline. Then I just need to work out which air filter to get. K&N / Ramflo / sock or other??? Then do I attempt to put it on or wait and save up for a new exhaust system? Thanks for all your help. Jim.

In a Mini with no Weber box cut into the firewall, there's precious little room for anything BUT a Ramflo. And that needs to be the offset type (case is offset upwards).
I'd bin the original foam in it, a Unifilter LNX400 pad ($8.95) has much less flow restriction and doesn't fall apart with age.

I know I've been a pain but I'd rather ask questions than buy the wrong thing. You have been a very big help Dr Mini, thanks yet again. I think I have it sorted now! Cheers.
