I dont know how much difference there is between the EFI a series and the cabby ones but i've seen complete mini injection setups
(manifold, throtle body, computer and loom) for sale on ebay. I would assume that injection mini have some kind of crank angle sensor as well.
So you could probably graph one of these setups on to an early a series.

Personly i like my dellorto fueled mini it was easy to tune and its better on fuel now than when i had the 1.5" SU
on it as long as the tacho isn't sitting on 6 grand to often ;) also think it has more top end now.

2 thing to add, dam i thought of the efi a while ago as well but no one commented, you stick a webber manifold with a ida rotor setup, we use them on big prot rotors and they are alot tourqier,

and with the front mount setup you could use the sc14, which is bigger, has its own oil pump, and has a electric clutch so you dont have to be running boost all the time

SC12 has an electric clutch also. But if you run flow through, you always ahve it on as drawing fuel through a non-functional 'charger ain't no good. But if done normally then the electric clutch can be handy.

Port injected EFI for a grand on an A-series 5-porter is not an option. Do a search for "EFI" and you should find the problems of the fuel injection timing. You can run it as a throttle body injection though as was proven at GR's recently.

There are computers on the market that can be tuned to reduce the port robbing effect such as Motec or Autronic but unless the tuner has experience with this problem, forget it. Big HP and high rpm are the main issues, many people are working on using the MegaSquirt to solve it too.
