So, how many Ford 1600 twin cams were built, not many really. Most Kent engines made were pushrod... but at least they had 8 ports.
Early pushrod Ford 105E (997? cc) was WAY oversquare, it's true, but the thing didn't exactly have lots of power.
To get cc, guess what- Ford STROKED it...
I used to work on Formula Ford race motors in the early 70s(the 1600 crossflow with single 2bbl Weber).
Not a bad motor but it was real hard to get the advertised 96? BHP with the shoddy cams they had. We would go through heaps, looking for the elusive one that was ground to spec.
