you could cut the rear subframe and narrow it a little (or a lot), then you'd have to turn around and cut the body all the same proportions, if your in a sedan, then you'd need to change the subframe mounting pints. fuel tank and it would meen a long time off the road.

you have to work out if it would be worth the hassle, and remember that you will be quantifying your unsprung weight, so everything perishable, bushes, shocks & bearings will be placed under an amazing ammount of load compared to what their designed for. you will end up going through them really quickly,

and in my opinion: most important:
your Mini will never handle like a mini, you will lose that balance that makes a mini so much fun to drive.
The main reason why they tub the rear is for traction in FR cars, when you are dragging, you need the traction, and with narrow rears they spin to easy. It's a lot of work in any car, but in my opinion not wort it in a mini being a FWD. and let the Gemini drivers cut their boot rust out.

Oooh, maybe not quite that much, there MrCush.

Hell, i was only gonna do it about 3 inches to the inside of the car. Not bloody 20x20s as shown there...

Yes, i realise the complexity of the job, but nothing worth doing is easy.
