Search Results for: search :!: no refusing to use the search engine

You'll have to give me complete details
as i am not a smart, person?

What are the easiest, best, craziest common carby i can put on my motor when it come back from its rebuild, i want to have a go on it,

So i read last night about the dellorto, (i always thought it was delltoro :? ) And they seemed to be used,
The webber as well
And the 1/3/4" SU
as well as the 1/1/2" twin SU,
Are these all a few of the viable ones i can consider for my 1100, bored out to whatever my spontaneous desision there and then on the spot will be :!:

How easily are the manifolds for any of these carbies adapted to fit the mini,

Are there any that are just a pull on bolt on, off their previous (non-mini) car,

If so (or not) what should i go looking for , what parts would i need, Can anyone here sell me anything :?: :P
But i really want it to have a go.

And ive heard about the GRussel RE-13 cam (i think it was) Does the eventualy bored out size i choose affect anything to do with this cam?
I mean i think gaf said i needed to decide how for to go with the boreing, before i can choose the cam?
Is that correct?
i think that is all

You can put a RE13 Cam in on any bore..does not matter but you will benifit if you get the head opened up a bit..better breathing

Carbs yep any of those will do 40 Dellorto 1 1/2 1 3/4 HIF44. + the Manifold don't for get that.

Any Carb you put on will need adjusting..with the Su's Needles and the Dellorto Jets and Chokes. Not many will you find just bolt on and off you go

Carby setup is your choice, but an RE13 cam will work in anything from an 850 to a 1440+. Good fast road/sports cam.

For a 1098 I like either twin HS2 SUs or a 40mm Weber or Dellorto....

To get the best you gains should have the head ported whilst it's off- and fit either a 3-1 freeflow manifold or an LCB.

Ok
well i still need me one

Ive been reading
searching a bit

and i think i read allong the following lines : that with the weber and dellorto, possibly its not a good idea to boot it at low revs?
But once tuned they wont need constant attention.
And i need all the choke/jets, whatever else, for my engine specifically.
Where can i find all those bits?
They do fit on with no body modificatoins?

Hmm, i dont know what type of cam ended up being in the motor?
Where can i look at any indicators on it? It in the motor at the moment.
its annoying for me, usually im just spontaneous in doing/buying things,
but ive been 'investigating' and getting annoyed for ages now, and still ive done nothing about this?

An 1 1/4" carbie should only cost you ~ $20
Go the extra $$$ for the weber/delorto only if you find the SU is not enough.

You idiot :P
I have the 1.5" already, but i suppose it needs replacing just for fun :?:

Do the Weber and Dellorto fit with no body modification?
Same with the twin 1.5"
Anyways the twin 1.5", Are they a bit over done for an 1100? gone 60thou over and with my 'mild cam' and so on?

ebay usually has a fair heap of webers and dellortoes you can usually get a 40DCOE or 40DHLA for around the $100 mark if you are lucky or wait a while you may get a manifold cheap too.

The weber / dellorto does fit without firewall mods depending on what manifold and air filter you use. (you can find SU manifolds that will mean you have to chop away at the fire wall too) Oh and beware of the swan neck... (it's a manifold but not a good one)

Problem with webers for me anyway is that it can be hard to find people to tune them and you will have to buy jets etc for it. Better to take it to a dyno and get them to tune it for you.

The good thing as you said is that they don't go out of tune. :D
