Hi all how hard is it and whats needed to fit a dash with instrumnents from other cars to minis? Is the wiring hard to figure out or not compatible at all

for example if i wanted to install this dash from an EH into my clubbie what would i need to do?

I'm not too sure, never had to do one.. But if you can't work out the wiring I'd sugest getting a manual for the car the instrument cluster came off and use the wiring diagram in that to work it out.

If the speedo you are using is electronic it might be a bit more difficult (as I presume the Yamaha's speedo is). Brad just put thecluster from a Subaru in the 'basher' so he could tell you more :wink: I guess it all depends what you want to put in there decide that and work from there. :D

I cant think of why it wouldnt work, its all just 12 volt isnt it, Sure speedo cable connectors might be a lil different, but if i install a dash from another car thats a 4 cylinder theres no reason why tachos should be out is there..................hmmmmmm maybe a trip to a wrekers is in order

The tacho wouldnt be too hard to make work......but the speedo could....not all cars have speedo cables.....especially a digital dash like that bike one...it would have a speed sensor somewhere which sends mesages to the ECU....the ECU then converts that to road speed and tells the LCD what to display.....
