this dumb tart from the blue mountains sold me a lemon on ebay that was described as a well running car in good condition for it's age.

it was a 73 model, so it was newer than my mini... anyway it was supposed to be able to make it back to melbourne, but it made it 50k down the road.
problem being it was through ebay, so victorian legal system figured the value of the car was too small to be worth their time seriously hearing my case.

so i've copped it sweet and when i have some time i'll knock up an ad for it, maybe someone wants it for a drag car.. yeah. maybe i'll get a few hundred of the $1600 i lost, back.

anyway.

first day at new job today. revo's and discs here i come :)

ebay should handle that i reckon,
but $1600 isnt a great deal for a mini, i'm sure you could get it fixed cheaply.

ebay compensated me

my mini cost about a grand more than 1600... the car i got off ebay was 910, but getting there and back and accomodation, food, lost pay etc ended up amounting to 1600ish.

it was all headaches. mini is good fun in comparison, even though it's guzzling fuel, has some rust... and, well, quite frankly needs a modern twincam in the back of it.

yeah minis are definately the most fun car, pity i wasnt born earlier. They're really at the end of their operational life now, and require a fair bit of money to restore

i'm in a similar boat - i'm about a month off 21.

which, astonishingly, almost makes me 'old' to teenagers.
