LEYLAND PRODUCED THE LS 998 AND THE LS 1275
FROM THE OUTSIDE AND INTERIOR THEY WERE IDENTICAL EXCEPT FOR THE SIDE DECALS
ONE WAS JUST LS
THE OTHER WAS LS 1275
leyland produced the 1275 LS in 1978 it was called LS luxury sports model
it did not have a brake booster
it had a larger single carbie
it only came out in 2 colours hIho silver and nugget gold
there were only 998 of them made
they had a single tank
ill get the chasis and engine numbers for you tommorow

and to the highjacker yes you can put 13" wheels on i have them on my car with no mods
regards,
opalmini

Was it just the 1275 LS that came out in only silver or gold or did the 998 LS have only the same two colours as well?

All the comments seem to be talking about the 1275 LS and less so the 998 LS so I thought I would ask. :D Other than the engine size and maybe the paint schemes the two versions were the same right? did the 998LS have 8.4" disks like the 1275LS?

I am thinking of buying one (998LS) and I would like to know how much I will need to do to return it to original and how original it currently is anything else I should especially look out for?

Oh and I found mentioned in a earlier thread about the park brake light and brake fail light.

I know they had three pod dashes was it a tacho or just a clock?

Thanks,
