Hi,

Wondering if someone can advise whether the JCW package came in stages or was there only a full package option.

Looked at a cooper S today with JCW bades etc outside and under the hood but had an idea there were different levels of JCW when released.

Also, how much better performance do they offer?

Appreciate any feedback.

There are two levels of the JCW kit, effectively the original JCW kit and then the 210 upgrade kit (which was introduced in late '04 I think).

The original JCW kit is a new head, cat-back exhaust, ECU upgrade, new supercharger + pulley, and air filter, plus the badges. (I think I have included everything)

The 210 kit adds a new airbox, injectors and a new ECU flash upgrade.

Hope this helps

Chris

improvements in performance vary from car to car.
The early MCS had an officail power rating of 163 bhp and the MCS JCW 200 bhp
The later MCS has 170 bhp and the MCS JCW 210 bhp
Early cars can be upgraded to 210 bhp
