Dude.. I recommend you discuss the Checkmate with her. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and it is a dream. Being a 6 speed auto it is a smooth drive but also has a bit of power for a 1.6L 4 cylinder so overtaking will be smooth and easy.
This is also a sports edition so it comes with 17" alloys and 6 (i think) air-bags. it rates 4 stars out of 5 in the www.howsafeisyourcar.com.au website.
Perhaps the electric sunroof could work a dream for her.. I dunno..

Seriously.. take people's advice and make her take it for a test drive.. it should work like a dream.
