The 84318 damper kit are the 54000 but with all the hop ups! Along with the Touring Car version of the 84318 shocks, they are probably the best shocks you can put on an RC car from any manufacturer.

So yes, they are good.

Build it with the kit bushes, and then replace them with bearings when they arrive. A good exercise for learning to fix them. You don't wanna be at the race track and miss a heat because you're half way through replacing a gear set. Learn now and you can do it in 5 mins.

does look nice - a guy in the local club here loaned me his m05 celica in a similar colour to race at night under lights and it was very hard on the eyes, but yours should be OK with the white roof. I put stripes on it with stripy yellow/green electrical tape so I could see it better

And whether or not you want to upgrade to a brushless motor, then LiPo batteries, anyway, I love that silver. Great shade in my opinion.

Hey thanks for replying, l could probably spend $200 on a motor battery esc upgrade. I would like to give brushless and lipos a go, how long can a lipo go without a charge and what is a reasonable budget, is $200 enough or not enough, for half decent kit?

thanks for the help.

For a motor, ESC and lipo batteries, 200 should do fine. If you get a decent ESC which you'll need to run LiPo batteries and a large enough battery, depending on the type of driving, you can probably get up to 30 mins out of a battery. Round a track though, I wouldn't imagine much more than 15-20 at most. With a brushless motor, that'll be some very brisk driving too. I believe I said earlier on in this thread that I'm not an expert and I don't race my mini, so don't quote me on it. Just speaking from experience and knowing people who do race.

Do you have a hobby store you can go to, or perhaps call?

I would recommend getting what is run in the mini class, which is the hobbywing 13t/3000kv brushless combo with the 35A Esc. Like this http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/271100020947?nav=SEARCH

For a lips battery, most guys at my track including myself use this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _Pack.html

Grab a lion charger like this and you are set (you need the one with the Aussie plug. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _plug.html

You could get this set up with 2 batteries for around $200 landed. That would give you 20-30mins per battery and you can charge the spare while using the other.

Cheers, I've already got a similar charger so that helps,do you guys use fire bags when charging, how much of a performance difference is the motor upgrade.
