For those playing at home, here is my M05 as it come off the track last Sunday.

A keen observer will see that the front alloy shock stay is a bit bent (I will bend it back flat), rear left lower shock ball is missing its spacer to bring the shock completely vertical (as the arm is worn too much in the thread, and therefor pulled the ball stud out, but fixed for the last final on Sunday by using a long stud with no spacer), the ride height adjusters are red and from my Spec-R touring car shocks (which are a copy of Tamiya shocks - I measured all the bits with my digital calipers and can rebuild with Tamiya rebuild kits YES!) and it's generally mostly worn out.

Edit/ Ok you can't see the missing spacer on the lower rear shock ball.

I need to start breaking mine then...might find a touch of money to spend on mine. Really like those alloy bits. Mine is pretty much completely stock save for the electronics.

I'd like to know if the front suspension uprights are compatible with m01 - the screw holes in mine aren't going to like too much more taking in and out...

If you wanted to mount the shocks like an M05 then you could digitally draw something up to be cut.

Or wait for the M05 and shelf that M01!

Ah yes, sorry, misread the first reply!

You might find the C-hub is the same as M03/M05 at the suspension arm pickups.

Just had a look at the M05 and the M01 I have here (at work of course!)

Hub's are about the same size - but the M01 only has a short arm on them and they face the opposite way. The 03/4/5/6 hubs are the same, but different to the M01/2 hubs.

Try ebay - you can generally find parts for the 01/2 there without too much hassle

Here is mine for comparison. You can see that Scott is running an aluminium (bent) front shock tower which allows him to put the shocks more vertical.

You can see that I am running alloy rear hubs that increase the toe in by 2deg. I'm also using adjustable arms to control the camber.

At the front I also run alloy hubs. I will soon be adding the shock tower and camber adjusters.
The alloy steering links area big improvement but need shimming to remove the slop.

Some other upgrades you can't see are an oil gear diff and harder plastic gears and full ball bearings.

Standard M05 plastic read hubs are 2deg tow in too ryan. I have alloy rear uprights but have only ever used plastic. People at the track will usually give them to you because they buy the F parts for c hub only! Haha!

Here is a body that I can't bring myself to use on track. Might not get another?!

(Hopefully this image isn't too big as I've done it via photobucket app and tapatalk on my phone)

You should at least cut it out and stick it on an old chassis as a shelf queen.
