I think there are problems with the steering rack fouling on the gearbox for RHD cars for those standard kits.

Has anyone successfully used one on an Australian Mini? Which kit did you buy? I'm going to get another mini soon as a project to tear down and fix up with a later model motor. It seems like an easy option to buy a complete honda kit from O/S and just source a motor locally but it doesn't look like anyone has done it. Is there a reason for this? Cheers, Dan |

Is that the only reason? I thought I saw a kit that was compatible with both lhd and rhd models. Of course I cant find it now. : / |

I read on the moke forum the kits are no good because they increase the track width of the car by too much? May not be any truth in it, but worth looking into before you sink a few thousand into the subby |

i've been looking into doing the same thing and have been told by a few people that the allspeed engineering one doesn't increase the track width, also says that on their site, there are slight body mods needed but they have a PDF on the site for you to have a read if you wanna check it out... according to a source, it's been engineer passed here in vic, the guy who owns the car had modified some of the support parts but it was his decision, wasn't told to do so by the engineer.. trying to find who it was so i can have a chat with them myself..

That allspeed one looks good. No increase in track. http://www.allspeedengineering.com/subframes.htm They recommend a flip front if using a morris but Ive got no issue with getting a clubman. It comes at nearly $3k not including postage. |

the guys at mini tec generally offer an international discount to try and offset that its being shipped to australia |
