you want to talk to your engineer about a flip front, because they can be engineered, however, whether you extend the front or not depends what motor you're putting in.

There are a few roundies with standard (IE normal welded on) fronts that aren't extended. Swift GTI's and Starlet turbos, I'm (slowly) doing a honda and it'll fit

also shifted this down to the engine conversions forum

Extending the front is more difficult than you would first imagine. The bonnet is a right pain and needs the bracing underneath re done. Check out my build link in my sig, I have extended the front of mine about 3 inches... The bonnet still isn't completely finished and am seriously thinking about getting a fiberglass one made up.
Any questions just ask, I might be able to dig out some moe pictures too if you need

cheers for the info, i've been thinking of just gettin a clubby to do it... posted this thread and then went to bed, then about half an hour later it occured to me that the bonnet's shaped..... cried a little.... went to sleep.
Simon brought up the fact that a vtec will fit so now i'm tossin up wether to use the roundie for it as was planned or restore that and get a clubby... that'll become more clear when i get her pretty in paint.. until then, it's all just dreams and schemes.

Cheers, Sean.

I used 2 bonnets, made it alot easier for the outer looks. But the bracing underneath still needs attention
