 Post subject: aftermarket filler cap

so have been looking around at different aftermarket filler caps and was wondering, if you get one, do you need to have a bowser flap or not for registration/engineer?

I spoke to the engineer i'm using recently on fuel related issues. I think the rule is: If the fuel filling equipment you use was available on a vehicle released in Australia it will be fine. We were specifically talking about the fill neck though - which he mentioned should be the standard fill neck for whatever tank your using...

Not sure on how tight these rules are though. The ADR doc's regarding fuel is pretty thin! And doesn't really refer to the cap from memory.
