Um, all I can ask is why?

I have to ask the same thing. An 1100 mini engine can easily be built to have more power, torque and better economy, and a stock 1275 would exceed that.
:D

that's as good-a reason as any :)

the closest anyone on here has come is a Daihatsu Sirion engine, or a Charade

I'm popping this thread down into the engine conversions forum

OK, I just Googled Aruba and my question is withdrawn.

Good luck mate and hope to see some fotos of your progress.

What sort of mini do you have? Are there many on the island?

All the best,

bam.

I would of assumed rebuilding your engine would be an easier task then doing an unknown engine conversion?
