Oooh, that looks nice Matt.

A mate of mine has just bought a crashed BMW bike, so I'll be helping him build his soon (well one day).

Looks like fun!

Is the turbo over the clutch so you dont need to cut a bulkhead box in? Or does it give more performance over a short exhaust tract?

Btw looks fantastic.

I do 2 types of turbo exhaust manifold for the twinky-K-onversion,,,

one is short (quick-spool) road version & fits behind the donk (where the carby used to be) with no need for body mods at all,,, so no turbo box

& the other is shown in the pics, with long-equal-length stainless manifold sitting the turbo over the clutch,,, & again no body mods needed

after seeing how snug these converted engines are in the engine bay, so hard to reconcile that with how tall they look out of the car! :D

I just thought you liked those CV carbys on the small bore, and as you keep coming up with ideas a set of blow thru quads would look good. don't worry about economy just grunt

What's the smal brass connector above the water outlet for? :)

Very nice Matt - I want one! :)

Cheers,
Jan

Jan it`s a "bleed" pipe,,, the water gallery behind there is actually higher than the top hose outlet hole so i drill it out above there to bleed out any air bubbles that would get caught

the 16v isn`t as bad in that dept, so i normally only do it to the 8vs

remember that these donks originally lay down so not a problem for the bike owners... But when we fit them to mini donks & stand them upright,,,well,,, i`d rather not have any "steam" caught inside the head

Have a gork at Harrys site,,, he`s welded up the water outlet & re-machined it higher to achieve the same/similar purpose,,, much more work doing it his way tho :-) i`d like to think that i do things more cost effective achieving the same results :-) & i can use it as the thermostat by-pass at the same time :-) I`m so damn smart hey? :-) :-) :-)

& Gordo,,, one of these would be a really nice compliment to your van :-)
