Yeah what the title says...

Have they gone out of fashion, there maybe a few around

but more and more people are going for the Suzuki option,

is it easier? is that what it is,

I would imagine there would be a large power difference between the two
and for those who want power :D would go for a vtec??

I know it's been noted before that the VTEC engines / half cuts are often more expensive than the 4EFTE Starlet and G13B Suzuki option. Probably has a lot to do with it since everybody has a budget.

The bulk of the cost isn't in the engine really but in getting everything in and running.

VTEC 1.6L+ are big and heavy and harder to fit neatly and more power can be made from the smaller and lighter 4EFTE

I think in Australia the 4EFTE is still the most common, with G13B second.

These options are also tried and trusted locally.

...And most conversions (that I've seen) push the track out much wider than standard. A big no no for rego.
