Hi guys,

im doin a G13B conversion on my mini and im curious to as whether the Metro brakes or the swift brakes would be a better opinion for the brake up grade...

any experience and input?

cant find much information to compare here... any information on these topics would be much appriciated.

Braking power

Turbo or N/A?

I would stick to the mini setups personally rather than converting the swift brakes.

Metro Brakes would be more than enough or If you are really keen there are Tarox 6pot's as well as KAD 4pots, Minisport 4pots etc.

The conversion is goin to be N/A,

im aware the 4 pots arent a straight bolt on, is there much work involved in makin the Metros fit?

Do those Tarox prices include everything required to bolt on to a mini? Or is it a matter of making adaptors etc?

If you have mini hubs the metros ARE a straight bolt on and if you buy a metro kit they usually supply the goodridge braided hoses including banjo (two entry points on each brake block). It is only a non straight bolt up if you are silly enough to try and adapt the metro hubs which do bad things to steering geometry, ackerman angles etc etc.

I fitted Josh's Tarox brakes to his swivel hubs.
The kit includes everything you need.

Isn't the conversion to Camira brakes pretty good for G13Bs?

is there an easy way to tell the difference between the mini and metro hubs?

That Tarox setup looks sweet as...

i currently have a cooper s brake setup and will need to get vented brakes, the metros sound the easiest option being straight bolt on...

will giv in vestigate into the Tarox setup :)

Metros will be cheaper and not much difference fitting them wise, prob easier to get parts for also... But the tarox are the shiz! And yeah postage was awesome, only took 2 days from payment

Metro hubs have "Bolt-on" ball joints,,, mini hubs have "assemble" type ball joints

In other words, the Metros have a female thread in them where the ball joints bolt on,,, & the mini hubs have male threads where the ball joints are assembled into them
