Have been reading on this site for a couple of weeks, and it has given me the inspiration to go for it

Picked up Half cut yesterday, stripped already.

Now, for the first of what will be a million questions :-

1) Do we need the air con pump, & the power steering pump as using original mini, i.e. steering rack, and windows.

2) there was 2 vacuum tubes going to the steering rack, do I just connect them to each other?

3) wiring, where to begin, there's masses of it. How do I know what I need to splice into original mini?

Thanks

1) Nope. You would be the first if you did.

2) Yep.

3) Depends how much of it you want to use really. Some guys use the whole thing (lights, dash and what not). Some guys just use the engine loom.

Although information gained from further away is usually considered more valuable than info gained from just around the corner, I suggest you have a look at www.16vmini.com

You should be able to search through there & get at least a few days worth of reading/learning BEFORE you have to start asking your millions of questions. They will also know everything about MOTs etc, which we don't know about, as our rules are very different here.

Good luck, & I hope it all works out for you. :)

thanks guys.
Mini16v doesn't really have many starlet conversions.
I'm coming to Sydney at christmas, if there are any Mini shows around then let me know, would like to have a look at some of your cars.
