Hi all, I have seen in this forum some info on cv's, I think to suit a vauxhall drive shaft and am trying to find that again.
Basically what I want is a cv that will be capable of handling good power over a decent period. Those that have seen my project know I am building a 4efte clubby for tarmac rallying. This form of racing is damn hard on drive trains and I need it to be super strong.
By the way, since I have arrived in Canberra about 6 weeks ago progress has come to a halt but should start again in the next 3-4 weeks when I can get all my gear here... cant wait to get things on track again!!

I put that up. I'm currently putting 150-200HP through the CV's as are a lot of others.

I would not go those CV's for these reasons:

1) You do not know how long they will be available for so you would have to buy at least two sets.

2) You have to get shafts custom made to those splines, so if for some reason you cannot get these CV's, you will need to make new shafts

3) no one has had problems with CV's (including many 1/4 mile launches, tarmac track days)

4) the cooper S ran on these fine at bathurst.

5) CV's are easy to replace.

6) The most important point is that IMO you will be breaking traction before there is enough grip to cause a problem.
