$6000 seems way to cheap, Brad 13secmini did his conversion & it cost him over 10K and he did all the work himself pretty much, Talk to Mr Enforcer in regards to the subframe PM minimad he'll happily tell you all about a starlet conversion (i assume thats what your doing) he's just gone through it all. Good luck, i can't WAIT to see how it goes. The Tool |

Find someone who's done one (legally), and be very nice them, and get a frame built at mates rates to the same spec as theres, that way you know it'll pass engineering with the same engineer. |

6k will be like being up a S%#@ creek without the paddle, i dont think 6k will quite do it... Cutting the subframe has got to be the easier part of the subframe process?? |

Why dont you just buy one for sale? I know where there is a Morris with a 4EFTE conversion already done, all paint and bodywork done with wheels etc for about the same price ($6,000) This would be an easier route as most of the work has already been done. |

Hi, If you are thinking that you can do it yourself once it has been cut. You must have welder and so on? I think you can save cost more buy doing cutting yourself as well as making it. All you nee to do is make a subframe jig as long as it keeps mounting to body fix, you can use anything....well, wood might not be good! This was one I made with scrap tubes I found at my work. Good luck Atchi |
