If you are talking about the 4AGE then - too wide! Although, there is one going around in WA I believe (personal import from UK?) that has a 20V in it, enormous front track! No engineer in his right mind would approve it, especially in NSW. There are better alternatives. ![]() |

My Engineer told me that you can do pretty much anything, and as long as it is done well and safely you can get it rego'd. ![]() Obviously you need the skills and wallet to match this. However you maybe pushing the boundaries of an ICV (Individually Constructed vehicle) which is required to meet most of the 2008 ADRs. - Think kit cars. ![]() |

The 4AGE motor is my favourite motor.. EVER! If I could have done one sensibly I would have done that over the 4G92, but if you look at the pics of the mini that's done it, the guards are huge and the wheels stick right out! The track's enormous!! ![]() So I guess it's possible, but like Trickory said -- there's better alternatives ![]() |

After doing my conversion, I reckon that it might be just possible to get it in a clubman with standard track, but it would be tight and very tricky indeed, therefore probably not worth the effort. Mine is in a standard length roundnose front and because I needed the engine real close to the bulkhead there was not enough room for the suspension ,hence the extended track! Lucky for me I was in the UK at the time!!! ![]() The 4efte certainly looks like a more straigh forward option - like any option is straight forward! ![]() Rich |

mmmm......4AGTE mid engine.... or maybe sr20det.... ![]() ![]() There's a thought - mid-mount RWD would definately fit!! And the precedent has been passed in QLD where Main Roads accepted it! |

I was going to fit a 4age before I looked at the 4efte and it is slightly wider but it still would fit just ment I would have had to cut the inner gaurds which the engineer was not keen on in SA but I really wanted to turbo it which Transport SA would not allow me to do, so 4efte it was. |
