Post subject: | Rover injected 1.3 |
Hey Guys, I have a Mini Clubman (78') I have been offered a 1.3L Rover Injected motor, not sure if its spi or mpi. I'm just wondering if it is a worth-wile conversion over a carby 1275cc. because its looking like one or the other. I doubt i can afford a starlet conversion or the like at this stage. i figured that the rover motor may be a better option as i believe they are a later build (am i correct?) and therefore more likely to be in good condition. would this sort of conversion be "bolt in" or would i still need a different subframe ect..? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Matt |

If it's fuel injected you'll need an efi fuel tank. Yes it should bolt straight in. Have you got disc breaks, you'll need them for a legeal roadworthy ![]() |

SPi: 53 (3.1:1 FD) and 63HP (3.2:1 FD) MPi: 63HP only (2.76:1 FD) sadly not all engines are in good condition, just opened a 53 SPi engine and gearbox and its not realy worth to rebuild it |
