well I been on the lookout for some time now, but recently I made a bit of a score 42mm quad throttle bodies that suit a 1400cc sea-doo found their way to my Garage. you can do the math but 4 42mm intakes are the same as a single 84mm in cross sectional area SCORE)

I have heard it all before, it'll be a Bit@h to tune, no factory computer blah blah. Better throttle response, better turbo spool and the best part, since i'm trying a round nose--- I get to get rid of my ugly and big intake manifold YAY

Guess this means I will be building a mean intake and exhaust manifold, and sending em to HPC. That's all for now. Now real news been working on other cars, uni'ing etc. so no progress on the boost ute

Does anyone know the legalities of using an aftermarket computer for rego?

It is legal, but you need a full exhaust gas analysis in order to pass.
The reason everyone uses a stock ECU is because they have already been proven to pass this test.

Unless you're on LPG, in which case you can run what you want as it deemed "clean" you aren't required to pass any test or have a catalytic converter.

don't know what everyone elses ecu's are like but it pretty easy to get into the honda ones at least and run throttle bodies, boost them and add mapping for silly revs. benefit is it still looks like a stock ecu once it's all done!

hi guy's.

got some photo's up on my picasa (Google images) site:

Gave up trying to get thumbnails to work here, dunno, don't like it as much as the old photobucket but the link's below.

in as much as having to run the aftermarket ECU, I might be able to get away with the stock 4EFTE one on this for getting it going's sake, but I would like one that I can tune a little better not that far after. Kinda thinking it might just be easier to do all that now and out the way

AWDMOKE: another advantage of the LPG is you can run crazy style boost, that's a little unheard of with petrol

Very compact. How close are the bore of the TBs to lining up with the EFTE inlet ports?

I know this is not a toyota, but this guy knows his stuff when it comes to ITBs:

Might give you some inspiration?

cheers for that AWD, nicley done, as I was holding them I will try and put then in line with the rocker cover and the distance between the centres is remarkable close 83mm on the bodies vs 85mm on the head. So the'll be tuned length mani jobbies (haha I'm so descriptive), just gotta find some id42mm trumpets to get them to flow well :D
