Well a mate of mine who contacted me through my website, seeking advice on subframe design, has been beavering away on his 4EFTE conversion and I would have to say the results are pretty amazing. Tell me what you think. Cheers Matt ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If that thing doesn't win top engine bay somewhere along the line there is something wrong with the world. |

That looks sensational. Definitely requires eye protection. I think we have a winner in the 'bling' department... Is the subframe similar to yours Matt? Madmorrie |

Is it just me or do a lot of the conversions involve having the intercooler too close to the road , wouldn't you get the hot air off the road surface down there , not to mention the chance of damage in rural areas ? Pretty cool looking conversion though , obviously alot of work gone into it . |

Yeah Madmorrie basically he said can I use your subframe design and I said no worries. As for the intercooler position, yeah both Clint's and mine are probably 150mm from the ground but I have been over speed bumps and it is not the intercooler you have to worry about. And as for getting hot it is a lot cooler there than on top of the engine I can guarantee that, plus their is no comparison on airflow. The biggest issue is coming in to park to fast I have almost forgotten the intercooler on the front a couple of times... ![]() |
