Just wondering whether this is a good thing,

I'm doing a turbo G13B and i'm going to have to modify the inlet manifold anyway so i thought i might go the bike carb route. I've been told its a good performance upgrade. Does anyone have any pics or info on the manifold needed and the total setup. Do you have to make up a seperated manifold going into the carbs?

I dunno about turboing through bike carbies?? I reckon it's either turbo OR bike carbies.

If you doing a G13B its fuel injected already, why go back to the carb method. And surely you can use the carbs though with a turbo setup but they might need some modifications to suit it...

Minboy,

Are you talking about using the efi quad throttle bodies from a bike?

Check out Borgy's mini (tiger strip) he has done this and the setup looks great.

Yeah i saw borgy's tiger in Miniworld and it said that it was turbo and used the R1 throttle bodies (sorry about the confusion), i was hoping that someone might have some pics of what he has done or what the setup roughly looks like.

Is it basically going to be a log coming from the turbo into 4 throttle bodies and then each one going into the inlet port.

Will this increase performance at all? - i suppose it will as you are getting more air in as long as your inlet pipe from turbo is big???

Will i need to run an aftermarket computer? How do you go about tuning?

Can Bike throttle bodies be used and engineered/registered?

I think i have some but might take a day or two to dig out.

Correct.

Yes it should, the nissan SR20 quad throttle body motors have more power.

Yes, You will have to have it tuned on a dyno.

Good question, not sure? would like to know.

www.redlinegti.com.au has all the answers you need.

I would be looking towards an existing turbo charged quad throttle body set that is factory fitted to a front wheel drive car. Granted your options are limited when narrowed down that far but as soon as you find a GTI-R throttle body and plenum you won't need to look any further...... DAMN site cheaper than the R1 set up you are looking into aswell.

yes they are from the busa...... yes they make more power..... yes you will need a aftermarket ECU i recommend Autronic............ no you do not need a engineeres report for aftermarket injection..........
