Gee, I reckon Dean could get BigBad close to those figures. Cheers, Tricky |

Andy, given that mine achieved 184 atw on 15psi which would equate to roughly 220 crank hp (and yes this is rough, whp vs crank hp is a discussion for another time), mine would go close to eclipsing the first two, but probably not the last. Also mine weights 740kgs wet curb weight so that makes a difference compared to the 600kgs they claim. But I was surprised that they only get these power figures. Now doing the same figures on the 180hp at the crank version with 600kgs, means it is getting approximately 155atw, which means 255hp per tonne, mine equates to 248 per tonne, pretty close. Also it would be interesting to see what kind of whp these things get? And at the end of the day I think the Starlet conversion (or suzuki for that matter) is the closest to remaining a Mini as it retains a large proportion of the front subframe and is FWD, creating a tubular space frame and whacking in a rear wheel drive starts to get into the territory of chassis with Mini body plonked on top if you know what I mean... As for Deans I think he would give the last category a good nudge... Just my 2c ![]() Cheers Matt |

And on the other side of 5000 you find out how a mini drives sideways whilst front wheels are pointing fowards. ![]() ![]() ![]() Love the car, love the power Dean Thanks for the ride. ![]() Dan |

im in agreement with all comments. as much as Id love a Zcars converted mini. It no longer is or has the character of the mini. it only holds onto its looks. I think the starlet mini conversion is the way to go nowadays. bang for buck cant be beat. in Deans case with Bigbad, mighty big bang for a fair amount of buck. With similar HP figures I think the only thing the Zcars minis would have as an advantage is traction. I know my next mini will be starlet powered |
