Hi guys new to the forum

own a 77 clubman mini.

mine and pops project. was going to put a Vtec into it but now after looking at this site have reaslied most are going for the 4EFTE conversion.

so my question is who can make a frame for the starlet engine?

was going to get a minitec frame from usa for the vtec but bit pricey.

can anyone help me out?

Mr Enforcer is located in Sydney and can do as much of the conversion as you want.

might have to give him a call.

does he use part of the original frame or starts one from scratch.?

was hoping to get one that can be fitted at home.

guess if it comes down to t can ship the car down there and front cut but bit of a mission

He modifies the existing subframe, that is what most people do anyway as it is easier and easier to get engineered too.

He also requires the car as most mini's are slightly different and he makes the frame in car.

might have to look into it once it gets closer.

just stripped out the inside and taken out the front subframe.

gotta cut out both front floors and go from there.

is it easier to get the 4efte done rather the vtec?

I think to do a VTEC from scratch yourself would be slightly more difficult than a 4EFTE but only slightly. I heard there are a few issues to overcome with the VTEC which makes it tricky like the steering rack. But no engine conversion is straight forward. That's why alot of people buy the UK pre fab subframes if they do a VTEC as it removes all the guesswork. Pretty much bolt together...

we have changed our minds and have decided to do the 4efte conversion and make our own frame.

seems to be cheaper to get a front cut also.
