Well guys finally got it on the dyno and gave it a full run. And the above was the result. On the static 15psi it was previously running he got an indicated 142kw (190hp) so pretty decent numbers. I got him to reduce it to 13 in order to gain better traction and also for longevity. So not bad for DIYer. I go out there at 5 so I will scan the dyno sheet and post it up...

Cheers

Matt

Good work,
you should be proud, of yourself doing it all from scratch.

and 175 is very very respectable.

I heard Yokohama stocks just rose about 5% on the market. Great work mate, that's some figures that you ought to be proud of

The thing is thats stock internals which is the limiting factor. Obviously forged everything would allow for higher boost. But the thing doesn't have much traction anyway. As for Yokos 4 months old and they are going bald....

Simply astounding result Matt. 190hp is just awesome. You need to keep your ear to the ground for a SAFC 2. Shouldn't cost more than $250 and will provide significant gains.

Having said that I would be happy with 175hp at the treadlies.

Yeeeeee Haaaaaa!!!

Matt Power you Son of a Gun!!!

Excellent stuff I say, excellent.

Congratulations on a job done better than well done. Matt, I take my hat off to you and I say that those figures are truly excellent - and well deserved to boot.

Good luck with keeping the thing in a straight line.

Next up - LSD (not the drug you fools, the diff)

Cheers,
Tricky

Got my first scalp today too, was a V6 Camry. Hey its a start! :D :D :D Also it seems he reduced the boost a bit when I got there so it is running 12psi now but still good for 170 (127.4kw) so I will leave it like this for a while and wack the turbotech back on so I can fiddle the boost when I need it (Wakefield Park?). Will put up the dyno sheet tomorrow. And top boost 15psi I believe was good for 137kw so not quite 190hp but hey whats 4hp...

Cheers

Thanks Bara, same back at ya. Great job mate and the car looks amazing, and the performance. Yeah I can finally say the car is finished in that it runs well and there are no niggling issues. As for the tyres probably less than 3 months old (A539's on the front). It lights them up pretty easy. I want to stay with 12's, do they do a 12 x 7? Probably about 1500km since I got the new turbo sorted, drive it every day...

Cheers

With a car like that, you'd be finding excuses to get out and drive it 8)

I reckon you should be begging Northwest tyres to bring in some rock hard, high speed 12's ex-european autobahns  :D
