wel Im a fan of the turbo diesel cars especially the VW Golf TDi , moves quite quickly for a little German car. Diesel's have come a long way recently with performance and efficiancy. I like how they if driven properly can even scare a V8 driver when gonig off at the lights if you get my meaing, lol. Sounds like a good little engine though, I'd like to see or hear about the stats for one, and/or a pic or two. Different is always cool |

I had diesel Clio when were os this year. Went like stink until you showed it a corner. We got about 1350km out of 40 litres of diesel thats with 4 people and a boot full of luggage. The problem with disel is that the block is so heavy and so the handling is a bit average. I havent found a diesel yet that handles as well as it petrol brother. Love the torque though. |

Those have the diesel version of the K series motor I think , there's been a couple of the petrol K series put into clubbies in the UK but they aren't regarded all that well compared to the Honda conversions . Be better off getting a daihatsu charade turbo diesel and using it , there's a moke in Oz with one and several mini's (roundie and clubbie) in the UK with them , they fit well and perform great . |

northern mini had some of the metro engines that are diesel. They are converting a metro to diesel in the shop. I know they are diesel in the UK but they wanted to do it for some reason. Cheers DAVID |

Diesels are commonly referred to as oil burners, sounds like an appropriate conversion for a mini. |
