do you need a spare tyre for rego?
does a 12' rim (steel type) fit in the boot of an 850.
the only one that I have seen at the wreckers was without tyre.....

I wouldn't have thought so , some new cars come without them now as the manufacturers (Volvo I think I read about doing it) claim that with modern tyres and mobile phone reception there's no need , you can call a tyre fitter if you need it .

Apparently you don't need a spare for rego but you can be failed on a unroadworthy spare if you do have one. :o

I haven't tried it out, just what was said from previous discussions on here

The spare can be a 10" rim, but if you get a flat on the front, you will need to move a wheel from the back to the front and fit the spare on the back. (Assuming you have 8.4" disks on the front)

Cheers,
