Well rang the leccy today all jobs are done. Lights, indicators, wipers (all of the starlet binnacle), fuel pump etc. Wheel aligner is four doors down, so I will drop it off first thing tomorrow. If I can squeeze it in, its off to the Dyno on Friday in which case I have all weekend to spruce her up ready for the engineering test and if that's OK its off to the pits (RTA). Where it could all come unstuck. Still so close I can taste it...

Cheers Matt.

PS. Had alot of time on my hands so I decided to remodelled the grille :) .

im guessing that it will make between 120-125hp@wheels on 12psi :D

Who else wants to have a stab?

If you haven't played with the boost I'll go with 100hp atw.

Top Stuff Matt, can't wait to see it running, I'll be in Canberra in a few weeks so you'll have to take me for a run.

Nice grill, :) how did you get the mesh to stay on the back

Yeah I chuffed about how the grille came out. Basically as I was cutting the guts out I left bits of the grille poking out all teh way round and then made fine holes in the mesh matching the little lugs. Then got the lugs to poke through the mesh and then bent them back thus holding the mesh in place. I take a photo from the back to give you the idea.

As for the power output. I think it is anybodies guess. I think I should achieve above 100bhp, I think 120. Still its anybody's guess as it hasn't been run for what looks a long time so who knows. Don't worry I'll let everyone know.

Cheers

Matt

PS. Getting wheel alignment today. Dyno on Monday.

I will go the wild card entry with 133hp with a large top end peek

Thanks for the optimistic estimate. I will say 119hp. Everyone has to give an exact estimate (oxymoron). I post up the dyno sheet so it all above board.

Matt are you going to be upping the boost at all? do you have a bleed valve or boost controller? If your leaving it stock 9.5psi then 100-110hp@wheels should be about right.

I think you can goto about 12-13 psi before the boost cut comes in, but at around that boost the ct9 wastgate starts to leak anyway, and the turbo is at its best effenciency range.

Yeah thanks Brad I keep forgetting about the standard boost level. I really wasn't going to do much re boost controllers etc until I have the thing on the road. Then I was going to weld up a new manifold with the T2 flange as you recommended then go a t25. The other issue is that I have those two black boxes that I showed pics of a few months ago. No one could tell me what they are but they a joined into the loom as it enters the ECU so I can't help thinking they maybe FCD's? I might ask Jake when its at the Dyno...

Also Dyno booked for Wednesday so watch this space.
