how do these things come out?
are they welded to a plate or something?
I can't seem to turn them.
(the long studs on the top of the suspension towers)

Now, I know you're a smart guy so I'm going to assume you've put a second nut on and turned the bottom one?

It's just a thread at the bottom. 5/16 top and 3/8 at the bottom. Give it some WD40 overnight.

Is all I can come up with at short notice.

I did try that, but to no avail. I have put penetrene on the studs and will try again later.

Buy a stud remover

1/2" drive off set knurled grip that self tightens on the stud.

You'll never look back again
