i take it its really expensive to get custom alloy's made...but something like this for a mini would be awesome...if only they made them in 13" size...

WHeels are fairly easy to get made. Set $1k aside for them. When you get to that stage let me know.

i think you can buy the outer rim bits from the uk, then using a certain thickness plate and a lathe some people have made custom 10 inch mini wheels, not all that difficult by the looks of it

will do JC...thanks again :)

in other news i've pretty much disconnected everything from the engine in the starlet...labelled everything...so its almost ready to come out...

they put some stuff in some really stupid places on modern cars...you know the wiring that runs along the fuel rail and then around the back of the engine block under the intake manifold and then plugs into the back of the engine block? that one plug in the back took me over an hour to get off...i could touch it but coz the space was so restricted i couldnt unclip it...then i got under the car and tried it from underneath...and lo...there was a bloody support brace in the way right over the top of the plug so i couldnt get to it from under there either...nor could i remove the support brace coz it was just as buried as the plug...bloody pain in the arse...i labelled it as such too :P as i didnt really know wtf it was for :P taking the mini apart was a hell of alot easier on my hands...

yeah i've heard 10's are pretty sweet for handling...but i just cant bring myself to do it...who knows...maybe i'll change my mind further down the track...13's look so damn sweet on a mini...like 18's on a normal car...

Ina wait until you put the engine into the Mini and try and reconnect that plug. Actually I lie it was easier with the engine in the Mini engine bay. But if you wanted it to be easy you would have stuck with a 1275.

You can get 5-spoke REVOLUTION wheels.
I think you can get them in 13 inch size.

If you get those spacers that change the stud pattern (Mutant mini has them) you can pick most front wheel drive rims
