Here is pics of my conversion we put the motor in the first time today. There is way more room on this compared to the 4efe i did last year(03). Next is the front and rear engine mounts and front mounting the alternator.

it wont scream like a starlet but this motor is 50kgs lighter than the 998 but is the same capacity, has twin cams and injection + 5speed and is something different

a Mate of mine at a wrecker owed me a favour so this motor and box + all running bits cost me nothing :D :D :D

and the smaller capacity motor so far has been easy to fit

It appears the larger capacity engine has the exact same dimensions as the smaller one. According to the chart.

Hahah yeah woops.. I just looked at it quickly.. I should have realised a 1.83meter long engine would not fit into a mini.. :wink:

Impressive. Looks like there is limited amount of subframe work required for this conversion compared to other conversions.
