Post subject: | Mini VTEC Drawings / Dimensions |
Hello all, I am looking to do the VTEC conversion into a roundnose. I was wondering whether anyone had any drawings or dimensions that they could share with me. I was contemplating purchasing a Watsons kit but i think i could make it myself for a lot less. I have just bought a shell but not a half cut yet. I am in Melton, Vic, is there anywhere good and cheap that i should look? I've found one for around $3500, is that about right?? Any help you could provide would be so much help. |

Hey, miniboy1962 You might want to look at Mendoza Mechanical's Vtec subframe as they are closer to Aus. (They are in NZ) I dont have the URL at the moment but only problem with round noses are that you have to extend the front by 90mm ![]() Just a thought..... ![]() |

![]() How much horsepower for a starlet? price? ease? VTEC sounds a lot tougher, but you may convince me if you don't have to extend the nose quite as much. I didin't really want to chop up and lengthen a beatiful looking car. |

the 4efte engine outputs 100kw stock (thats with its little turbo)...baracade's is outputting 350hp at the wheels (with a couple of modifications ![]() ![]() apparently it doesnt fit easily...but it does fit...you just need to move the turbo over the gearbox and find somewhere for the radiator (i think i am gonna stick it in the boot)... as for price? you can get a front-cut for anything between $1500 and $2000...total cost for the conversion...depends ![]() |
