does any one know the pump pressure is on a metro turbo equiped mini. i know carby around 3-5 psi but the malpassi reg wil keep it under control . but what pressure pump do i get. i think i have to keep it 4psi + what ever the turbo is pumping in. will efi pump be to much with the reg

Yes, pressure at the carby must be 4psi more than the pressure in the plenum chamber so you will need a regulator to achieve that. Therefore the pump must supply at least 4psi more than your maximum boost pressure. EFI pump will do the job. |

very good. another one i know efi engines run surge tanks to stop fuel surge. but carbys have float chamber to store fuel. now would i be wise in installing surge tank just to be sure

Carby float chamber is indeed a surge tank, so no need to add another one. |
