does any one know the pump pressure is on a metro turbo equiped mini. i know carby around 3-5 psi but the malpassi reg wil keep it under control . but what pressure pump do i get. i think i have to keep it 4psi + what ever the turbo is pumping in. will efi pump be to much with the reg ![]() |

Yes, pressure at the carby must be 4psi more than the pressure in the plenum chamber so you will need a regulator to achieve that. Therefore the pump must supply at least 4psi more than your maximum boost pressure. EFI pump will do the job. |

very good. another one i know efi engines run surge tanks to stop fuel surge. but carbys have float chamber to store fuel. now would i be wise in installing surge tank just to be sure ![]() |

Carby float chamber is indeed a surge tank, so no need to add another one. |
