Hello all,

I have made a decision on what my mini/starlet conversion is going to be, it will be started in the next few months.

Clubman shell stripped and resprayed (the color is a secret atm) - $500 to $1000
4efte halfcut from ICHIBAN in sydney - $1700
Subframe - $He is a mate so he will be doing it CHEAP
Suzuki Gti seats - $300
Camira Disk Conversion - $900
13x6 inch wheels - $unknown atm
Twin exhausts - $unknown atm
Roll Cage - $unknown atm
Nissan Patrol Bonnet Scoop - $100

As soon as I move into my nans unit (while we are paying off our block of land), i will be selling my round nose shell (keep an eye on for sale section in 4 weeks or so) and sourcing a straight clubman shell. The ill be stripping it down, ordering the halfcut then sending it to my mates place in forster for the subframe rebuild and engine fitting ... then she is going to get sprayed with the secret colour and all the bits and peices fitted.

I am going to try and have it ready to run in the Newcastle Hill Climb in October 2006.

So keep your eyes on this post and ill keep you updated :)

Lucas

Ps - Brad thanx for the inspiration

Hahaha yeah ... dont tell the Mrs ... it does help that my mate does crazy mods ... turns station wagons into utes ... chucks wierd engines is little cars etc ... plus he has an engineer mate who always looks after him price wise :)

But yeah i know the whole process wont be cheap, but itll be worth it

You Know You Want To !!!

Do It In A Roundnose!!!

As an aside, I seem to recall my rego papers for the 850 morris showing its weight as 630kg. Power to weight alittle better than a Clubman?? Not sure what a Clubman weighs?

Actually I believe the difference in weight between a roundnose and clubby to be bugger all certainly not the difference between 630 and 750. I think the weight gain in Brad's Clubby is from the dash and the bling   .

Yeah, i think you are probably right. I will not be putting the starlet dash into mine, so should keep the weight down.

My idea was to keep it stock with possibly a few additional smiths gauges. I know the speedo will need to be calibrated and possibly the speedo cable modified..
