Yeah well,,, we spent most of the arvo road tuning & then dyno tuning the Twinky moke,,, after spending most of the Christmas break working on the thing chasing stoopid oil leaks that seemed to appear out of no-damn-where,,, well we have nailed them all now & pretty damn choofed with the results of the tune sessions

& no,,, i`m not going to say what HP we have yet cause i really want to "Play" some more with it,,, at least we now know my new clutch design doesn`t slip at 18psi boost, we also now know not to forget to set the hard cut rev limiter ,,, funny story but effectively we had it set real low to start & on our road tune we we starting to bump up the grunt & revs & then suddenly """OOOOPH""" the damn thing shut off instantly,,, seems the soft limit wasn`t set right either

:-)

anyways,,, just a little note letting you all know that we have some damn good vibes happening now & i`m a very very happy chappy indeed :-) :-) :-)

more reports to come soon

The words choofed and vibes don't inspire confidence when reporting about a dyno session.

well,,, another problem found while tuning some more today, seems the boost controler thing-a-me-jig isn`t working so we`re getting 18psi of boost & no "controling" of it

my tuner guy reckons we should be able to limit the boost through-out the rev-range & then only allow full boost when "WE" set it... but the dam thing is going off-chops right the way through the revs & man-o-man does it farken fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) Not really that good for tyre wear tho :-) :-) :-)

& yes i expect i`ll be taking it on some runs before i deliver it to the customer, maybe the Australia day breaky run ---> "possibly" ---> (if it doesn`t rain) :-)

I have a pile of silly things to sort yet, like the fuel tank guage isn`t working, the reverse light wires aren`t hooked up yet, the windscreen washers are also not set up yet, I havn`t actually mounted the oil pressure, water temp, boost & taco guages properly yet , i have a new oil catch can i`m sorting at the moment,,, the list of fiddly stuff goes on & on, so there`s still a fair way to go before she`s finished , At least i`m gaining confidence in flooring the throttle & reving it hard now :-)

The smoothness & drivability is just absolutely amazing,,, but the performance is just outstanding :-)

I will take some more video of it driving soon, but i`ll sort all this other crap out first

Is it better to turbo than supercharge is it?

When it comes to engines the more air given the better performance
and superchargers tend to run longer and harder than turbo

am I right? :?

Ah well,,, we`re going to find out soon,,, Stewy (one of my off-siders) has bought a Twinky K-onversion kit & a late Bimmer MINI Blower & wants me to set it up for him,,, so we`ll soon see which is the better package

I`d rather he just turbo the damn thing tho cause i`ve allready made the inlet & exhaust manifolds etc for the turbos,,, 2 different styles at that,,, so now i`m making another whole batch of manifolds & brackets & crap to suit the supercharger,,, F@#K S!##$T Wee-poo-bum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:-)
