Lol. big puddles aren't often a problem in Kalgoorlie, but when it does rain (like it is at the moment) every where floods! I think water coming in through the doors maybe more of a problem, some are that deep!

I'm not sure if it was boost fluctuations, but I remember hearing someone had a problem associated with short intake pipes. :?

Yeah, thinking about changing the wastegate actuator, but not sure if mine will be a problem yet, so I'm not going to fix what aint broke! -Too much money to spend on other things.

Sent my Drive Shafts away today to get custom ones made up... yay! And the guy said it would be around $200-$350 each shaft but he has to see them 1st, so wish me luck! :)

I first thought the box on the poll had blown up.
My sister and brother in law live in Cambalda.
He can't get to work due to the rain!

I decided on a bit of a wheel make over during the week:

Image

Image

I just gave the old paint a bit of a sand, taped up the tire and machined rim and used a spray pack of gloss acrylic.
I figure if the paint chips, its easy to touch up and I can change the colour later if I want.

Not bad for a $10 modification I think.

For reference:

Ok, Last night I painted the other 2 wheels and this morning, I rolled the mini out of the garage and gave her a bath.

Got some pics with the "new" wheels:

And with the minisport 4 pots peeping out: :D

And I couldn't help but take another pic of the engine bay. 8)

Your car looks great mate 8) , I hope your not intending to use those tyres when you get it on the road, my motor only puts out 102bhp and they don't stand a chance... :D , you'll rip them to pieces with the turbo  :D

Thanks for the comments guys. :D

Gerg: lol, those tyres are for rebuild/ burnout purposes only. The combination of the camber it has (at the moment) and the hard, old falkens will definitely hinder forward motion!
Image

Just before I rego it I will get a set of D01J dunnys or yoko A048Rs. (It will also have a proper alignment done!)

It depends on which tyre shop I can get to play the game, because here in Kal there's not much call for 12" semi slicks. :?

My boss also used to work for a tyre mob, so maybe able to use some of his contacts.

The wheels came up a treat.

I used to have one of those handbrakes too (not a pair like you have). Pretty sure the pits don't like them.

Hahaha. Yeah G forces.... more likely knee forces!!

Got a new toy today:
PWR 6x4 water to air barrel intercooler!!

Blingy!!

And what they are like inside for those interested:

Unfortunately the mini is still at the radiator place over easter, so I won't be able to play with it. ...Might just practice welding for the next big part - Exhaust and Intake!!

mate i would have thought seeing as your bro has an rs you would have looked more closely at the rs Water to air intercooler, i have seen the rs' WAICs fitted to many cars in aftermarket apps and can be had complete for under $150 (theres one on rs liberty club at the moment for $100. )

its such a small world, there are 3 or 4 members from both rs lib club and ausmini.
aso i noticed that you put the washer bottle under the dash, honestly, im not a fan, i may have a solution however, go and look at the rear washer bottle on your bro's wagon, it has a remote bottle with a flexible filler neck, easily mountable in any engine bay pannel, then you could mount the bottle in the inner guard and fill from the bay ;) great conversion mate, i remember when brads was first completed, what a rocket :D
